Despite reading here and there, and playing a lot of one particular game I didn't finish anything besides movies this month so that's what's on the menu! Thankfully we had a theme, so I got that going for me.
Barbarian (2022)
I slept on Barbarian, even after watching Weapons when it came out. I love that it had a pretty good twist, and that it felt pretty video-gamey in the way the story unfolded.
The House That Jack Built (2018)
This is classic Rotten media, and like a lot of Rotten movies, books, games, etc., it has a great pay-off at the end with some genuinely beautiful scenes.
I Saw the TV Glow (2024)
An immaculate "vibes movie" and a really good metaphor for the struggle with being trans/transitioning/fighting it.
Late Night with the Devil (2023)
A nice bottle episode movie with some satanic panic, analogue horror, and a fun premise.
