Mountainhead

I am a big fan of Succession.
I'm not sure where I heard about Mointainhead but it was first described to me as "Succession, but a movie" and I was sold.
It's really fun to laugh at out of touch rich techbros and that's basically all this is. Maybe 3 of the richest bros having a weird afult sleepover that gets way out of hand but everybody's ego is so inflated and fragile that nobody can admit fault. It's beautiful.
I'm not sure what my fascination is with the "out of touch rich people dark comedy" genre but I'm hooked on it. Something about seeing somebody with so much privilege and everything to lose just sweat that they're going to lose everything because of their irresponsible, child like, behavior -- "oh no, the consequences of my actions".
Or maybe it's the fact that you can always laugh at them. They're like how in FPS shooters you never feel bad about killing Robots and Zombies -- in comedy you never feel bad about laughing at the Epstine class.
Moutainhead has one more garnish in that I actually kind of know tech bros so the wild "utilitarianism justifies my inhumane behavior" BS hits very close to home.
It's like Silicon Valley (the TV show) + Succession, in a movie.
Where it differs from Succession is that while Succession benefits from the TV format, half the bit is the cycles the characters go through over and over and over, this is a snapshot of these character's lives. Thankfully, they are characatures (sp?) of tech archetypes so you can really easily extrapolate how their stories will progress. They'll come up with big, but bad, ideas, run with them for a while, get bored immediately, and then de-stress on the yacht.
